Happy New Year and welcome to my Blog!
Happy New Year, well, sort of. A few weeks late, it’s still applicable to say happy new year, right? This blog is something I’ve wanted to do for a while now, but didn’t have the determination, motivation, or, let’s be real, the guts to even go through with it. I’m a fairly private person and the thought of putting my life, weight loss struggles/successes and just ME in general is quite terrifying. But, sometimes what you’re most afraid of doing is the very thing that will set you free. Also, action is the antidote to lack of motivation. My hopes for this blog is to create some accountability for my goals in fitness but just life in general. I’m fairly boring, except when traveling but hopefully this will help me learn more about myself along the way, meet others with the same goals to help motivate me, and possibly inspire someone in the process.
WHO IS THIS CHICK?
A little about me, my name is Leanne (Annie),
I’m currently 35 years old with a 1.5 year old German Shepherd named Marvel,
a 14 week old Tabby kitten named Bucky (yes there is a theme here)
and a super wonderful boyfriend, Chris.
I live in Virginia Beach and enjoy paddleboarding, hiking, game nights, meditation, yoga and traveling. Fitness and I have been a love hate relationship a majority of my life; running especially. I’ll explain more on my running past in a future post, however my goal for 2018 is to run 1 mile or more a day for 365 days. I also have a goal to plank every day for 365 days. I never really realized how hard this goal was going to be when I set it, but these first few weeks have shown to be a challenge but I will push through. I hope to lose weight this year as well, as I’ve put on 30+ pounds since my lowest weight in 2014. Mostly due from an allergy to gluten that I just realized in the summer of 2017, but also stress and lack of motivation to boot. 2018 is my time to revamp and this blog will be a great catalyst for that. So, welcome!
